We had a fun day with the residents of Brookdale Rockefeller’s memory care unit, and our guests from the Board of Developmental Disabilities. We brought wooden snowman cutouts and taught them how to decorate them to create their own cute winter snowman. There were lots of creative ideas!

  Residents of Brookdale Rockefeller’s memory care unit joined with guests from the Board of Developmental Disabilities to bake and decorate holiday cookies. We taught them some cake decorating methods and they used their own skills and imagination to design some beautiful holiday cookies!

Our bi-weekly meditation class at the RH Myers senior apartments continued today with a practice of breathing, music and candle flame meditations. The residents learned ways to quiet their active minds and achieve calm and peace through mindfulness.

 Lots of fun at McGregor today as we kicked off the holiday season. We sang traditional holiday songs, learned the histories of the songs, and shared our happy holiday memories.

We presented our new class, Posture Made Perfect, at Brookdale assisted living today. The residents learned proper posture for standing, sitting, sleeping and lifting, and why proper posture is important. They also learned the correct posture for using a walker or wheelchair.
