We are hiring artists (all mediums) and holistic health practitioners to teach classes for senior adults and people with disabilities throughout the greater Cleveland area. This is occasional to part-time work, depending on the frequency of requests from our clients.
You need to have several years of experience working in your area of expertise and/or working with the populations we serve. Previous teaching experience is desired but not necessary.
You determine what classes you would like to offer, develop the content, and bring all needed supplies to the class. Classes are one hour long and may be one-time or ongoing, depending on the client’s request.

We work with people at all levels of physical and cognitive ability. You must be flexible, patient and understanding. We do not have specific expected outcomes for our participants, other than participation at whatever level they are able. You must be open to varying outcomes. When needed, we can limit class size and/or get the client’s staff to assist you.
Hours, Locations and Pay
We work with individuals as well as groups. We work with individuals at their home, and we work with groups at senior centers, disability centers and retirement communities.
Class hours are usually Monday-Saturday between 10am-5pm. You can choose which days and hours you are available to work.
We have an unlimited service radius and our clients are located throughout the greater Cleveland area. This generally includes traveling as far west as North Olmsted and Westlake, as far south as Strongsville and Solon, and as far east as Mentor. You must be willing to travel in all weather, unless schools are closed.
Our current pay rate is $30 per hour. You are paid for your class time, travel time to and from the class location, plus 20 minutes for parking, set up and clean up. Travel time is calculated from our office address in Cleveland Heights.
Here are sample total payments for a one-hour class. Please carefully review this pay scale. If you live far from the office, this might not work for you. Actual pay may vary slightly from these amounts, depending on the exact location in the cities listed.

Beachwood – $60
Mentor – $70
Lakewood – $65
Parma – $70
Westlake – $75
Independence – $65
North Olmsted – $75
Solon – $70
We do not pay for any other time, including time for developing your class, planning your syllabus, preparing for the class, or gathering supplies. Since we pay your travel time, we do not reimburse for mileage.
We do reimburse you for materials you purchase that are used in your classes, such as art and gardening supplies.
Other Requirements
You need to get an FBI and BCI background check every 5 years while working with us. They must be “clean” with no convictions.
Yoga instructors must be certified and have liability insurance.
