We started a new seated yoga class today at The Brentwood Health Care Center in Sagamore Hills.  I helped the rehab patients and nursing care residents work to their level of ability, to get good benefit from the poses without creating frustration or fear.  It is a great honor for me to be a part of their wellness journey.

A fun day with my Journalism students from the Board of Developmental Disabilities East Cleveland Adult Activity Center!  We took a field trip to the Forest Hill Center where they observed their fellow consumers painting in their weekly art class.  They interviewed the teacher and the students and did a great job asking questions and taking notes.  We are working on publishing the second edition of our newspaper, The East Cleveland Express!

It was an honor to speak today at The National Senior Games at the Cleveland Convention Center.  My presentation “Harmony and Balance Through Feng Shui” helped the participants learn how to create a healthy energy flow in their homes, in order to support their own health and well-being.  It was such a wonderful experience to be among so many inspirational senior athletes! Here’s the link to the Plain Dealer article http://www.cleveland.com/seniorgames/index.ssf/2013/07/enjoy_a_healthy_day_at_the_vil.html#incart_river

I am so very proud of my Journalism class at the Cuyahoga County Board of Develop-mental Disabilities East Cleveland Adult Activity Center.  My five reporters put together interviews and artwork, and we published our first edition of The East Cleveland Express!

Another happy day at Brentwood Health Care Center in Sagamore Hills.  J.J. the therapy doggy visited with our private client there for an hour of tail-wagging love!  It’s such a joy to see how J.J. brightens everyone’s day.
