J.J. the therapy dog came today for her monthly visit to the nursing home. The residents look forward to her visit and she always gets showered with love! And the residents always have stories to tell about the pets they had at home. Good therapy for everyone!
1/14/14 – A Talk at the Northern Ohio Association of Activity Professionals
Many thanks to the Northern Ohio Association of Activity Professionals for inviting me to speak at their monthly meeting. I shared my “Making Lemonade From Lemons” presentation with them, giving them tools to help the seniors in their care. They learned how to help the seniors stay happy, positive and optimistic despite the challenges of aging. I was so honored to be able to share these tips with them!
12/12/13 – Holiday Festivities
The holiday festivities continued today at the Board of Developmental Disabilities Adult Activity Center in East Cleveland. We sang holiday songs and everyone was singing, clapping and playing jingle bells. It was a wonderful way to get ready for the holidays!
12/23/13 – A Therapy Pony
Smiles were everywhere when we brought a pony and miniature horse in to visit at a nursing home. The residents enjoyed seeing the animals up close, petting them and learning about them. It was wonderful therapy for the residents with dementia who usually keep to themselves. The ponies brought them out of their isolation. What a great holiday gift for everyone!
11/28/12 – Good News!

We will be visiting with the wonderful folks at the Adult Activities Center in East Cleveland, working with music and therapy animals to provide self-expression, sensory engagement and lots of smiles! We are very honored to be asked to work with these folks and help make a difference in their lives.
