Many thanks to the Orange Senior Center for inviting us in to teach two classes last week. Our “Gratitude Journaling” class helped the seniors learn how to find joy and happiness in their everyday surroundings, and how to use this awareness to carry them peacefully through difficult times.
11/19/2012 – Thanks to Caryn Zwick of S&S Benefits Group
Our “Architectural History of Cleveland” class guided them through a trip down memory lane, from 1883 to 1930. They learned the architectural significance of many Cleveland buildings, as well as the stories behind the contractors and the architects. Thanks to Caryn Zwick of S&S Benefits Group for sponsoring these classes!
11/16/2012 – Life Care Center of Westlake
Many thanks to Bev Spielberger at Life Care Center of Westlake for inviting us in to do a sing along with their residents. We sang old-time songs and the residents also learned the history behind the songs and the songwriters. We passed out percussion instruments for them to play, and invited them to sing and play along. They really enjoyed themselves!

11/01/2012 – The Weils Assisted Living Residence
Many thanks to The Weils assisted living residence for inviting me in to present “Making Lemonade from Lemons” to their residents. I taught them various ways to remain happy, optimistic and peaceful despite the changes and losses of aging. They learned that in any moment, they can make a new choice! We were all put to the test when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the presentation. Instead of getting aggravated, we decided to “accept what you cannot change”!
