Residents at the McGregor Home joined with guests form the Board of Developmental Disabilities for a fun class designed to help them get to know each other better. Each participant brought items that are meaningful to them, then told the story about each item. There were some wonderful stories and group sharing!

Residents at Brookdale Rockefeller learned all about Reiki today, and how it can help with physical, mental and emotional healing. They also learned a relaxation meditation and received a sample Reiki treatment.

Our monthly chair yoga class at The Jennings Center today was very well-attended. The residents learned poses and breathing exercises to help increase their strength, flexibility, balance and stamina. They also learned how to keep moving, despite being in a wheelchair.

Our bi-weekly meditation class at the RH Myers apartments continued today, with a practice of Breathing, Grounding and Negative Space meditations. The participants learned how regular meditation can help make daily life calmer and less stressful.

The Anytime Fitness in University Heights opened its doors to guests form the Board of Developmental Disabilities for a new yoga class. The class will be held every Friday.  Club members and guests will do yoga together in a fun and healthy class.
