Our bi-weekly meditation class continued today at the R.H. Myers Apartments in Beachwood. We practiced Breathing, Grounding, and Sound Meditations; and discussed easy ways to incorporate meditation into your life.
5/7/15 – Laughter Yoga
Our bi-weekly laughter yoga class at the R. H. Myers Apartments in Beachwood continued today with lots of fun. Lori led the group in laughter exercises that help to relieve stress, increase breathing, and put you in a great mood. Come join us every other Thursday at 11:00 am for this fun and unique class.
5/6/15 – Garden Design
The residents at The Homewood Residence, along with our guests from the Board of Developmental Disabilities, learned about the design tools that garden designers use to plan beautiful gardens that are pleasing to the eye. Each student then planted seeds in a flower pot and took it home to care for it.
4/30/15 – Gratitude Journaling
The seniors at the Warrensville Community Apartments learned how the practice of Gratitude Journaling helps provide a happy, optimistic outlook on life. Most of the students were Russian immigrants and we taught the class through an interpreter. It was so interesting and inspiring to see that these concepts transcend culture differences and language barriers!
4/29/15 – Tissue Paper Painting
The residents of The Homewood Residence, along with our guests from the Board of Developmental Disabilities, had a wonderful time creating their own unique pieces of art using colored tissue paper. Susan, our art instructor, guided them in layering different colors of tissue paper and adding paint for for special effects. They were so thrilled with their creations!
