We had lots of fun at the Grande Pointe Healthcare Community today. Lots of folks turned out for our sing along, with music from the 40’s through the 60’s. Lots of toe-tapping and clapping! The hands-down favorite was “My Girl” by The Temptations.

 Great turnout at the Solon Senior Center today for our introductory Vegetarianism class. They learned how to eat a healthy vegetarian diet, how to maintain proper nutrients, and various reason people choose to become vegetarian. Each student also received a cookbook of healthy vegetarian recipes.

 Guests from the Board of Developmental Disabilities joined the seniors at the McGregor Home to learn how energy flows through the body, how to get our energy back in balance when necessary, and the effects that balanced and unbalanced energy can have on our body, mind and spirit.

 Guests from the Board of Developmental Disabilities joined the seniors at The Homewood Residence at Rockefeller Gardens today for an inspirational discussion on how to maintain peace and optimism no matter what challenges life may put in our path.

Today was the first day of our new Community Integration Program. We brought disabled people together with senior adults for a day of making new friends and learning together. Today we learned tools for relieving stress, to help maintain peace and balance no matter what we may be facing in our lives.
