Kind Words From Our Clients
“We didn’t think it was worth the effort to try to learn something new at our age. But you showed us that it was. Thank you for treating us like people, not like old people.”

“You’d be hard-pressed to find a more caring, competent and professional organization to provide services for people you love or who are in your care. Whatever the interest may be, The Loving Hands Group has expertise available to address it, and can be counted on to do so with sincerity and the utmost concern for the well-being of its clients.”

“For several years, the Loving Hands Group has provided lunchtime enrichment programs for the high school age students with disabilities at my school. Not only are the many diverse activities of high interest to my students, but the Loving Hands Group team members are all highly professional, compassionate, engaging, and demonstrate the ability to connect and build relationships with my students.
Thanks to the Loving Hands Group, I have noticed significant growth in the students’ social-emotional development. I have also witnessed students utilizing the skills learned and the applied these skills to real life situations. The development of leisure/recreational skills, the ability to work in teams, collaborative problem solving skills, and the ability to be more mindful in their daily activities have been but a few of the positive outcomes for my students.”
Bob Ross, Principal, Cuyahoga East Vocational Education Consortium

Taylor Young, Early-Stage Specialist, The Alzheimer’s Association
“Judith and The Loving Hands Group provide invaluable services to my clients who reside in long term care settings. They worked directly with two of my clients recently providing friendly visitors, outings, music, art and pet therapies, and other services necessary to improve the quality of their lives. Without Judith and Loving Hands, these individuals would have been limited to the activities offered at their respective nursing homes and, in one instance, infrequent visits from a family member and attorney-guardian. I wish all of my clients could afford these services because I have personally seen the positive impact of the friendly visitors and stimulating activities, both of which were provided by Judith and The Loving Hands Group.”

“I would like to take a moment to write a note of appreciation to Judith and The Loving Hands Group. My brother is a brain trauma patient in a nursing home who is overlooked and not listened to by the staff. As he has become more alert he was bored and frustrated until The Loving Hands Group began visiting with him. Now he asks when they will be back and tells me about his visits with them. He especially likes when they read to him and play music for him. He looks forward to their visits with the therapy dogs and their handlers. His life is greatly enriched by having their visits.”

“I have been taking yoga with The Loving Hands Group for over a year. I am an 84 year old widow and I have a rather severe case of arthritis. They adjust all exercises to my ability, not to cause any additional pain. Yoga taught me better breathing, and has made me more optimistic. I plan to continue my yoga classes as long as I can.”

“My family was in need of an individual to assist in interacting with my aunt who was suffering from the late stages of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Although she never spoke a word of it, you could tell my aunt was in pain, uncomfortable, and probably dealt with some level of depression as she struggled through the last phases of this degenerative disease.
Judith Eugene/Loving Hands was introduced to us through our local trust attorney and the benefits from Judith’s interactions with my aunt (and the family) were virtually immediate. A concern of the family was to engage and stimulate my aunt who was bed stricken. Using various techniques, Judith provided creative, fun and engaging activities, which brought a smile to my aunt’s face as they involved things she enjoyed. Those activities included, but were not limited to, musical interactions, various forms of therapeutic massage and meditation, trips to a local equine facility for disabled individuals, and family gatherings around the holidays.
One specific instance sticks out regarding the latter point, where Judith coordinated Santa to visit the home where my aunt was staying. It was really a magical time as we had over 20 family members in a dining room singing Christmas carols and celebrating the holiday together. That was very atypical for my family, which is what made the event so special. The best part was that we celebrated it as a family. I think that is the real value Judith and Loving Hands brings. They are able to take a significant amount of pressure off the family in a very uncertain time, which allowed us to focus on the important things, like being together with our aunt.
We consistently worked with Judith for several years as my aunt battled MS and throughout that time she never stopped caring for my aunt and working to bring comfort and happiness to an otherwise difficult situation.
A final point I wanted to mention as it was a concern of the family is that Judith provided another set of eyes to ensure my aunt was cared for appropriately at the home. If Judith saw something that did not sit right, she brought it to the family’s attention so it could be addressed. Luckily no significant issues arose, however it did provide peace of mind to the family that an independent party could visit my aunt during regular working hours.
There are some people in this world that have the patience and compassion to care for others. Judith is one of those individuals and for that my family and I are extremely grateful.”
